Well folks that happened, the Arsenal versus Manchester United game are behind us. And gladly we won. That feeling when Arsenal beat up Manchester United that was a hallmark ,it’s been a while since Arsenal beat their long time foes in a match in the premier league .The game was played with utmost good spirit flowing from defenders right through the midfielders who combined brilliantly with the attackers and in Piers Morgan’s words:
Booom! Sanchez goal brilliant
Booom! Ozil goal brilliant
A 3-0 score line was once again experienced with the gunners ahead for a long considerable amount of time. That was a turning point.
It goes down into the annals of history that ever since Welbeck gave us a win against The Red devils during the FA cup clash we are improving. Am saying that because in that match we saw and learnt a lot, there was a change in the way the game was played. Good attack was one of it but, there was more to it than just good combination between the players.
Here is how the game was won;
1.Walcott starting out upfront
Kindly if you not going to agree with me about this well then you need to hit the comment box below and tell me what you think. That said ,Wenger finally is slowly getting away from the part where he was debating about who to start upfront and who not to start in the attack. Starting Walcott was tactical, his speed his skill matching absolutely correctly with his brilliant runs caught the LVG’s defenders off guard. With him upfront there was a maintained stream of flow of the ball ahead, sometimes if you look at Giroud’s form of play you would realize that he tends to slow the pace and tend to look for a player to combine with but Walcott none of it .Attack Attack Attack brilliantly accomplished, is what was seen yesterday .If this is to be maintained then a good run of form is to be seen in the larger Arsenal scheme of things.
2.Sanchez puts pre-season behind him and starts winning ways
He was away playing for his country side the time when Arsenal were winning the Emirates cup and marking territories really well, he did really well yesterday .Firstly he was in Chile and he is back with a bang. Bagging a brace yesterday was not only brilliant but very well done. Thanking , God though that he didn’t get injured during international play time am still praying to Jesus to intercede for us that he doesn’t get into the occupational hazards that are brought by injuries. God is always on our side and this time Lord don’t forsake us.
3.Recovering from Champions league loss
Yes that loss ,fellow gooners we lost a routine win to the Olympiakos side, Wenger was really bitter after the loss and he kept on shutting the media when being asked why he chose to start Ospina ahead of Cech. He said that he cannot conduct a poll and ask fans on whom he should start and on a light tone he even said that other clubs do the same think always and it’s just very normal .He also noted during the after match conference that the Olympiakos versus Arsenal game was one we could have won but things happen and a win is not achieved that’s what football is.
The loss served us well in the brighter side of things we won and three points we bagged since players came out of Olympiakos and decided to get a win .That happened .Although we are almost on the blink of getting out of the Champions league, the next few games would be crucial, the Zagreb game and the Bayern one would remain to be a pillar which our champions league campaign would be built on.
The Manchester United versus Arsenal one was one not to forget easily but atleast Arsenal are now hitting a rich vein of form and we are hoping that this goes on atleast for the next games. But looking back the future seems brighter more brightly than the past looks. I always believe in Wenger, though despite his random mistakes that cost us a game or two while we are in a great run of form, I trust him to get us past the group stage in the champions’ league and almost certainly get us to winning the premier league. That can be done, don’t rule it out, not yet fellas.With that being said have a great week ahead.
